    :inlove: you 8bit.

I made this topic on Etiquette a few days ago as these are the main problems I personally want to address. (Nobody be shy about addressing your issues here.)

    • Proper Etiquette - Charter Rules being ignored.
    • Follow the proper chain of information found in the Charter.

The chain of information (not command) flows like this.

Members approach Admins of the server/area in question. Admins deal with that scenario and document if required.
Server Admins approach Council Members (In the Council Forum) if they have an issue that they can not resolve.
Council Members go to the Triumvirates (In the Council Forums) should they require help with an issue.
Veterans may join in on council discussions, but do not vote on council decisions.
    • Submit tickets/issues/just generally report everything on the forums before bringing up an issue - try to post replies to a ticket that's been started if applicable.
    • Just overall be considerate of everyone.
    • Wear tags at all times. The message has been on Teamspeak for ages, I will start going through and removing groups for it.
    • You've all presumably read the rules by saying yes in your application and/or been given a run down of them, so don't do things like popping into other peoples in-game channels and annoy them, talking so much in in-game channels that you annoy everybody (remember, don't need play-by-plays) and other such things. When you read and agreed to the rules, you presumably read the part about reading the rules being your first warning and we only need to give one warning - I will start kicking from channel/server if this keeps happening. CHILL IT.
    • Charter can be found here, and Teamspeak rules here.
    • When it comes down to it - be more mindful of how everybody represents themselves, and {PR} as a whole, wherever they are. Recordings, livestreams, random PUG matches, whatever it is - by wearing the {PR} tag you do represent us and have the potential to make us all look bad. Make us look legendary instead.

Alright so I have brought this up before. I still haven't gotten a thorough reply, well I have, but what was said to happen hasn't so I am going to bring this up again. I understand the roles of specialist etc.
The question I have is mostly on Tekkit. I understand that to be a specialist you have to have the right requirements (@White Glint) had explained this. I was chosed to be a Tekkit Admin by @Gorian and I am unable to access the information I need that is in the Specialist Forums.....I haven't been able to fully assist those that need help. Being an admin of a game shouldn't that give you the right to see information that is needed to be read by those who represent the server? I was told by @Saiboogu that there was going to be another tier created for those that are in my predicament. I haven't heard anything on this nor have seen any changes regarding this. Also if this gives the impression of negativity or something else that it could be taken as it's not. The only thing I am looking for is answers. So if this tier ordeal that is supposed to be created or has been pitched. Is there a way that the Tekkit ordeal can be setup for me to access. Valuable information is there and this is not the only time I have been asked to view something that is contained in that forum. Thank you.

Fast answer, Liam, because I'm juggling a lot of personal stuff today, but I haven't gotten that new access tier setup yet. I apologize that it's been a pain in your arse and I'll try to get it sorted this week.

I understand that is fine, but lately I have been unable to fix what is to be expected. Makes me look bad as an Admin. Much appreciated :)

And last question? Why does it say I am a staff member on the site, when I am only a PR member? Just happened to notice this on the Staff member list page. I do not see anyone else that is like this without the tag specialist or council member.

That was just a goof on the backend. I'll have that corrected very soon for you.

The topic I'd like to bring up is the events. I know we all are hungry for some more clan events to get us gaming together more. I've noticed I'm the only person creating events and I don't really have a lot of time these days to get every event setup. So with that said I'm asking that members please participate and create their own events for others to attend. You should be able to access and create events (if not let Saib or myself know).

One more suggestion I've been thinking about is setting up some type of podcast. I'm not the most talkative person so I wouldn't be hosting it or anything. I just think it would be a cool thing to do and review games and clan things etc.

When the DayZ server goes up, I'm hoping it will bring everyone back to DayZ again. Thus making everyone start playing together while an actual proper event is planned.

I also don't appreciate being threatened to be banned by @WhiteGlint for naming a temp TS channel "Phantom Wreck'd 'Em" - a clever PG13 version of "Phantom Rectum," the name of a clan in Ghost Recon Phantoms. Is this Nazi Germany? Chill with the ridiculous arguments and ban warnings getting people worked up over things that shouldn't be a big deal. Because of this, the clan of over 20 people will be gaming on another Teamspeak server instead of growing our community server because "'rectum' is a naughty word and you will get banned." SMH

Yep - something that's being discussed right now. While I appreciate that you're finally admitting that Wreck'd Em was meant to be read as Rectum, for starters referring to {PR} or any member as Nazi Germany or a Nazi isn't doing you any favors. I would highly recommend checking up on the rules we have here - I'm curios as to how DAT would react to that. @Saiboogu, @Nimitz - thoughts?

The only people turning this into a big deal were you and everybody else. A channel was originally renamed and I didn't say anything about it, you could have just asked me about it and I would have said I found it to be inappropriate and please keep it off the Teamspeak or other servers. Considering I get bitched at anytime I politely message anybody here when I take action, I tend not to unless it is something major - so I do apologize for that one. The warning came because you guys saw the renaming and decided to take advantage and start trolling by first having your friend create a sub-channel of the sub-channel named Phantom Rectums, and it escalated from there - even when Angel messaged me laughing about it and I told him it probably should have stopped the first or second time I renamed/deleted a channel, it continued. By, I believe the 4th or 5th time it happened, it was after you renamed dayz epoch to Phantom Rectums and I to Phantoms. 10 minutes later, yes, it was Wrekd Em. Even my TTS read it as Rectum. Obviously displeased I spent 20-30 minutes thinking of what to do.

I apologize if you took offense to my rather cruel warning, but I take great offense when people are going out of their way to try to troll an admin - especially somebody who's supposed to be a Specialist and supposed to know it's wrong. Beyond that, you did already have your own TS dedicated to Phantom Rectums, it shouldn't be that big of a deal to go there. You also have a permanent channel here labeled Ghost Recon, that Sandbag for some reason decided to favor you guys and give one to you after adamantly saying no to everyone else, so if you so desperately need it to say Phantom Rectums, it really does say a lot.

Thanks for bringing this into the public's eye. Really, thanks a lot.

On a lighter note... I just ordered a mic that should actually work since I think any kind of 3.5mm jack hookups hate me. Should be here in 5-15 business days, shipping from Asia or something.

I thought it was silly thats all. Definitely not worthy of being banned for.

I didnt know there was a perma channel, didnt notice it neither was I informed it existed until you told me.

Of course I am going to bring it into the public eye, that's what this monthly discussion thread is about to talk about any issues, and you threatened to ban Angel and I...

Mayhaps we could approach the questioning of admin decisions differently. After having a yelling match with Supplice I feel like we are missing fundamental points on all sides.

Admins : are here to help keep things in order FOR gamers in our community.
Gamers : are here to game and enjoy that space, afforded to them BY admins.

Admins ARE Gamers - we are the gamers AND the admins at PR

Sometimes as an admin a bad call does get made, or an off hand remark get's taken as gospel.

    how to handle this?

    • Members request can decision appeal/clarification IN THE FORUM
    • Admin surrounding issue can discuss with council ONLY in private message (add council members - hopefully avoiding a public flame war)
    • An appeal/clarification should be about a decision - NOT a person.
    • Council members can discuss in council forums, agree on a reply and post that response.

Supplice has the :poop:tiest job out of all of us, and does his best to interpret our rules. If any of us disagree with him, or me, or Saib, or Gorian, or any other admin - we should invite discussion to ensure that we as players are being reasonable and we as admins remain in touch with players.

I don't want to be the Triumvirate of nothing. If we do something that isn't working we just need some help identifying that and some respect for the time and effort we put into this. Having said that, as admins we also need to remember our players deserve respect - they are after all members of {PR} Phantom Rapture.

And honestly, I believe all people here INCLUDING ME are making an understatement...I believe us "gamers" should apply feedback on things as well. If we don't give feedback how are you supposed to make it a better place? Feedback is the key to success. How wpuld thomas edison know how to make a functioning lightbulb if he was blind? :p

    @White Glint

Things like this need to be handled at the lowest level. It does not need to blow up all over the forum and have people get their feels hurt because he said she said, or she said she said.

Banning is over the line, there is no need, and it makes the situation look personal.

Bottom line, no ban, talk it out. Private message over the forum to a council member so that we can discuss the course of action if it is in fact a serious matter which in this case, was redundantly incorrect.

My thoughts though... DAT would of not allowed this, we have young members and it would be inappropriate.

Out of respect, I recommend that we do not mention DAT's name in favor of finding a resolution to a problem. Let's let our friend rest in peace.

I always see a lot of BS that always seems to point back to Teamspeak, part of me wishes to shut the whole damn TS server down until people can learn to get along. In my opinion if you're a member then you should work it out or go elsewhere. Remember that this is a clan geared toward having fun and the more time we spend arguing with each other the less time we have to just have fun. I'm going to go goofy for a moment and qoute the Bill & Ted movies. "Be excellent to each other"

I personally feel that right now, we are seeing a major issue in PR. Division. We are forming "groups" or "cliques" within our clan. We have people who think someone else is wrong, or they are better than them, or they should have more power than they do, or more perms, or maybe someone's name is spelled wrong. I don't know WHAT the issue is, I just see the outcome, which is what we have all been seeing. This group over here overreacts to something possibly minor over here in a way that can be inappropriate, so someone reacts in kind. This results in escalation of issues. And it's not JUST "Phantom Rectums" (and really, we didn't allow pictures of dog scrotums either) It's "Phantom Rectums" vs. Supplice. It's people accusing me of deleting their posts on the forums because they don't like my server or whatever the issue was. (don't make a discussion out of this. It's past. I only bring it up as a data point). It's people who spend their time "poking" or "IMing" people in TS with rude messages because they are hanging with another PR MEMBER that that group doesn't like. It's people who make blatantly false accusations and slander about somone in their live stream.

They point I'm making is not "poor so and so". The point I'm making is, we have this trend in PR of inappropriate behaviors and reactions, that ultimately cause divisiveness. Instead of bringing issues into the open where they can be dealt with, many people choose to take issues into their dark corners, and let it fester, and then feel like they are a victim.

As Sandbag said, we are a COMMUNITY. We serve a COMMUNITY. But lately, I don't feel it. I feel like a number of sub-communities within PR, with a few members who co-mingle. That's not what I want. I want to see people get rid of the personal vendetta sand issue, and learn to bring problems to public forum, where we can objectively, and as a SINGLE community bring issue to light, deal with them, and move on.

As an admin, I WANT you to tell me if you have issues. Feel my behavior or decisions are out of line? I WANT that you tell me privately, bring it up in the forums, look for change in my behaviors, to positively benefit the community. But sitting in a TS channel with your pals, complaining about it, harassing / trolling people, and never taking appropriate action does not fix it. It doesn't solve anything. It just creates divisions in our community, and fosters your resentment, and it makes me sad to see that.

Any clan will have rivalry and "cliques" Im going to keep this short and sweet. Long massive posts about our feelings of the clan and what it looks like is regurgitation, simply.

There will be problems, always, and that is why we have rules, if they are broken, then it is handled at the lowest level, as it climbs then it will be dealt with accordingly.

We cannot have a perfect community, and discussing and complaining and speaking of what we are going to do to fix it won't be the answer to all our problems.

We have to work it little by little, like how a person can eat an elephant.

And for the love of all mankind, keep your posts short and sweet. No more rants, that goes for everyone as a recommendation. Be clear, concise, and be gone.

I don't know what clans you join, but this is not patently true. Other clans I've been involved in (of which I'll need more than 2 hands to count) have not had these problems. Those that do handle the problem in a mature manner, and then it's done. And they don't have the same issues month after month.

Maybe that's a problem, expecting a younger clan with people ages 12-20 to deal with things in a mature manner, but I think it's not too much to ask, I think ALL of you are capable of doing so.

which is what's happening... you talk to the people with the problems (which has been done). Then you bring it to public forum (which is what I say needs to happen more). THEN you complain to the council/arbitration/admins/tris. The problem is, I always hear the problems, the complaints, the issues, but never really see it move up that ladder you keep saying things should be climbing.

But discussing issues IS what a community does. And it's exactly how it SHOULD be fixed, by allowing people to be heard. It's when people aren't heard that they start causing problems. The other option is crack down on the rules, and admin with an iron fist, which, sure you COULD do. But that will just cause more problems.

Which is done by engaging problems AS A COMMUNITY.
