So until Dec 2nd BF4 is on sale for $30 plus I have a $10 off coupon. Anyone know if this game is any good. Thinking about picking it up.

It's supposed to be very, very good just extremely buggy. If you can handle immense amount of bugs until DICE makes it playable in anywhere from 6-12 months like they did with BF3, I would say get it.

Cool thanks, I ended up picking the Deluxe up for $5 so it was worth it.

That's a pretty awesome deal, even with the issues it has. I want it, but I'm afraid of people not playing like they did with BF3. :p Don't need more wasted HDD space.

So I ended up staying up to 4am playing this game and it's is phenomenal so far. The single player campaign is way better than BF3 and gave me the "holy :poop: this is awesome" feeling plenty of times just in the few hours I played it. I have not played multiplayer yet so I'll try to weigh my thoughts on that as well once I do.

There is a lot of new stuff in BF4 that I have really enjoyed over BF3, like the airburst (did I mention I hate snipers?), grenade and pistol unlocks, and commander. I am still annoyed they didn't bring back drivable ships (SHIPS, not those tiny boats. I wanna drive the aircraft carriers and battleships like 1942)

haha. There are a lot of things you miss in 1942 after playing newer battlefields, but it still has some things that the new ones don't :/ like, that giant 5 person plane! That thing was neat! and I could actually fly the planes (I am not the best jet pilot :p ) Also, the maps actually felt HUGE. They still haven't accomplished that same feeling in any battlefield game I've played to date. In 1942, you had to WORK to get to the edge of the map in some of them, they were so big. Now, if you try to turn around wrong, you are out of bounds.

My biggest peeve of BF3 and BF4 (aside form the fact the games aren't finished before they sell them). Sure you have a tonne more slots, but you dont have a bigger map. So it feels like COD. And who wants to fly a jet if it takes 5 seconds to get from one side to the other.

Seriously. Back in alamein, you could fly for days, and would have to purposefully be trying to get our of bound in an airplane to get there. Even with the Desert Storm mod, you could still fly jets around for a long ass-time before you hit the end. and, all these bugs in BF3 and BF4. I have such horrible luck with these, NGD jokes that the devs hate me and built in Ant-Gorian hacks :p
1v1, killed my friend, he hadn't spawned yet, and I was SITTING there for about a minute, waiting for him to spawn, suddenly, I'm dead. Didn't move, he hadn't spawned, no one else on the server. Just random bad luck. I mean, what is that? Seriously?

I left BF3 for aaages and was finally convinced to play a round with someone. I was prone and wanted to crawl forward. The animation (for lack of a better word) is literally you gliding across the ground - magically. :wtf: EA! I could have more fun playing board games.
