I don't know if anyone has tried or mention anything about this game, but it is called Unturned and it was just released on Steam for free. It is a combination of Minecraft and DayZ gameplay. It looks like Minecraft, has zombies, guns, cars, survival gameplay, voice chat, xp and skill system, and is multiplayer. I think it looks pretty fun to just goof around with, and its only 200mb download, so I am going to give it a shot. Played it for an hour and a half single player, and it's actually quite fun. Max out the graphics and the world is beautiful. Zombies are brutal until you have a weapon and they follow you forever. You have to stealth by crouch walking or crawling until you can get a weapon and they hit HARD! It has permadeath and random respawns. Found a katana, magnum revolver, and a stanag rifle from the military camps to keep me safe. Weapons have attachments you can find, I found a holo sight and a flashlight for my riffle. Gun play and gun sounds are very good and its so much fun shooting zombies in the face - its pretty brutal. Same as DayZ with the looting food, drinks, meds, clothes, backpacks, building materials, tool items, etc. I even found some night vision goggles! Cars are scatter all over, some need repairs and fuel, which needs to be maintained and its fun running over zombies. Couldn't figure out how to craft. Got a hatchet and mining pick, but couldn't figure out what to do with the logs and sticks. I know you can craft all kinds of things like tents and stuff. Also found reloads for ammo but couldn't figure out how to do it. I'm sure there's a ton more to the game that I haven't discovered or figured out yet. All in all, pretty fun game to waste time and goof around in. You can set up your own server in seconds and play with friends, 12 player maximum I think. I recommend checking it out.
