I spent several hours tonight with the Titanfall Alpha exclusive on XBONE. Let me just say you will not be disappointed in this game. It's made by the former COD devs but you can tell they've went in their own direction with the game. Don't be afraid of it being published by EA either. This game is way better than any Battlefield game I've played. Animations are smooth and kills feel very rewarding. Sneaking up behind someone and breaking their neck just to then jump onto an enemy Titan and destroy it's circuitry while riding it is an amazing feeling. So far here are my pros and cons in the Alpha build. PROS: Level Design - Moving through levels by wall running and jetpack jumping works great in the environment. You can tell a lot of effort was put into the levels to support this. Gameplay - Rewarding kills and clever uses in weapons combined with wall running and of course being able to control a freaking mech! CONS: Matchmaking Time - It can take a little while to actually get into a match what with an 80 sec timer before the match even starts Bots - Yes this game has bots to help you in battle and to shoot in the face. They are very stupid right now and serve only as bullet sponges currently. However even with this it didn't take away from the satisfaction of feeling like a badass. In closing I will be getting the PC version of course of the game and I cannot wait to play it again. If you happen to have an XBONE check your inbox you just might have an Alpha invite.
I absolutely want this game. I'll eventually be picking up an XBOne for things like the next Halo games and such, dunno if I'd rather play it on that or PC though. But I'm pumped for it. By the way, lucky devil you. I will steal your sooner or later.
